NDIS Short Term Accommodation & Respite on the Gold Coast

First Priority Care provides NDIS Short Term Accommodation, commonly called respite, across the Gold Coast. A stay covers accommodation, meals, personal care and 24-hour support. The Gold Coast runs roughly 50km north to south, so where a stay sits relative to a participant's home matters more here than almost anywhere.

Delivering Short Term Accommodation in the Gold Coast

The Gold Coast runs about 50km north to south, so a stay at Southport and a family living at Ormeau are a real drive apart at the wrong time of day. We also tell families to book earlier over school holidays, because accommodation of every kind gets tight on the coast in those weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions | Short Term Accommodation the Gold Coast

How far ahead should I book respite on the Gold Coast?
Earlier than you think, particularly around school holidays and the Christmas period, when accommodation across the coast is under pressure. A month's notice is comfortable for a planned stay. We will always tell you honestly what is available rather than holding you in a maybe.
Can a stay be arranged in an emergency?
Sometimes. Emergency Short Term Accommodation, after a carer falls ill or usual supports break down, is genuinely harder to arrange than a planned stay, and we would rather say no quickly than leave you waiting. Call 1800 402 205 and we will tell you straight away what we can do.
