We plan the arrival and departure around the ferry from Redland Bay rather than around the calendar, and we confirm the sailings in writing before the stay. Island families know the timetable better than we ever will, so we build the plan with you rather than handing you one.
Is Short Term Accommodation the same as respite care?
Yes. STA is the NDIS funding category that replaced what was called respite. It pays for a supported stay away from home, covering accommodation, meals and personal care. Most participants who use it have 14 to 28 days a year in their plan.
