What makes a nursing assessment different from an OT functional assessment?
Occupational therapist functional assessments focus on daily living tasks, equipment needs and home modifications. Nursing assessments focus on clinical and medical aspects: health conditions, clinical support needs, nursing procedures required and the clinical justification for nurse involvement. Many participants need both. Where OT and nursing assessments overlap, we liaise with the OT to ensure documentation is consistent.
Can you provide a report for a support coordinator's referral?
